Cape May Events
The Cape May Food & Wine Celebration has taken place in its namesake town every September since 1996. The festival naturally focuses on the titular concepts of food and wine. It also uses a variety of local venues to host the participants. So the cost and exact location of the events varies.
Related activities may include trolley tours, winery visits, cooking classes, and brunch walks. Participants should be aware that many of the events aren’t suitable for children. Please check beforehand and make your plans accordingly.
Of course, there are other Cape May food and wine festivals that take place throughout the year. So why should you attend this one?
According to the American Bus Association, the Cape May Food & Wine Celebration is one of the Top 100 Events in North America. It’s also been running for over two decades now, a clear marker of success.
The event is even sponsored by a nonprofit organization, the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC). Their stated goal is the continued “cultural enrichment” of the local area. This means your dollars help preserve a historic spot instead of letting it fall prey to corporate interests. Who wouldn’t feel good about that?
