With a new name and fresh new look the Blue Fish Inn is a modern day version of the Madison Motel. Many of you have stayed for generations with the Loper family at the Madison. Feeling familiar and comfortable, you’ll experience many of the same traditions established by the Loper family. We welcome your return to the same hometown, family run accommodations we offer at the Blue Fish Inn.
Bryce Sol and Micah Yerk Bryce and Micah were born and raised in Cape May. After moving to Philadelphia to pursue careers and college degrees, they have returned to their beloved home town to be close to their families and enjoy all that Cape May has to offer. Aside from managing this family-run business, Micah and Bryce are also full time real estate agents for Homestead Real Estate, finding new homes for people who enjoy Cape May as much as they do.
Bill Smigo Bill is your friendly Night Shift Supervisor. He’s from Holland, PA and, like many of us, found a way to make Cape May a permanent home. Bill’s been a year round resident since 2002 and with the Blue Fish Inn since ‘08. Bill enjoys community activities and especially the tight-knit feeling you’ll find in Cape May. He loves the local beaches and is an avid cyclist, biking about Cape May (and beyond).
Joan Flood Joan has just recently moved to the Cape May area from New Hampshire. Having grown up in Pennsylvania, Joan spent her summer vacations on Cape May County beaches. Since then she has been bringing her family down to Cape May for vacation every year! Now a permanent resident, she feels so fortunate to be living in this lovely beach community. Joan also works as a full time sales agent for Homestead Real Estate.
Dottie Snyder Dottie’s actually been with the Blue Fish Inn as a member of the Housekeeping Staff since 1991, back to when it was known as The Madison Motel. Dottie moved to the Cape May area in 1984 from South Philadelphia. She is very family oriented and likes getting involved in the community. Dottie enjoys window shopping while she strolls the Washington Street Mall, but she’ll walk just about anywhere for the sheer pleasure of walking.
Shirley Myers Shirley also remembers The Madison Motel, having worked on the premises since 2001 as part of the Housekeeping Staff. Moving from Southwestern Philadelphia at the time, Shirley never looked back and takes pleasure in all manner of community activities. Her favorites about Cape May are the restaurants and wide variety of dining opportunities offered here in our little town.
